And that’s the kind of work we want to be part of.As the EHS Manager of Lonza in Verviers you will coordinate all EHS activities on the site and manage the EHS team. We are looking for a person who will be leading through example the safety of our employees and who can adapt to our ever-changing environment and who will be promoting our safety-first environment.Key responsibilities:You will oversee all legal obligations of the Safety Advisor (Code of Well Being at Work) and the implementation of the EHS management systemYou will be responsible for the management of Dangerous goods according to ADR and IATA RegulationsYou will be the Site Security Officer and the Security Manager for Airfreight.ordinate and participate in the risk analysis activities, propose corrective actions, and ensure the registration of action plansCoordinate and participate in the analysis of accidents, incidents and Near miss and lead the site’s mindset to avoid these from happening againImplement an EHS Management System, in accordance with Corporate EHS guidelines and legal obligations, and lead the continuous improvement and safety culture on siteEnsure that the Emergency Response/Crisis Management Plan is in place and functionalfine adequate PPE and provide safety adviceParticipate in the EHS Corporate Audit, Insurance audits, legal inspection, visit of Occupational doctor and coordinate the corresponding action plansKey requirements:Safety Advisor Level I (according to Belgium law) certification is a mustSecurity Airfreight Manager certification is a mustHands on experience with Dangerous Good Regulation; IATA and ADR experienceDemonstrable experience in communicating changes and engaging with employees from all levelsFluent French and English knowledge both in verbal and in writtenEvery day, Lonza’s products and services have a positive impact on millions of people.
