Job Description

As part of the team, you will have the following responsibilities:

Creation of finite element models (ANSYS / NASTRAN) for mechanical analyses based on CAD geometry, material / fluid properties and/or requirements from specifications;
Thermomechanical analyses of engine and propulsion components, including justification against static & dynamic loads as well as fatigue and damage tolerance;
Model validation based on test data or heritage;
Assessment of the required analyses and derivation of proposals for design optimization;
Documentation of results;
Presentation in front of the customer, e.g., within design reviews.

Qualifications

You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

University degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline ;
Minimum 2 years of experience is aerospace sector;
Minimum 2 years of experience in structural mechanics (metal);
Experience with NASTRAN and ANSYS;
Programming skills Fortran, Python, C++;
Experience writing technical documentation;
Experiences in the field of robustness, dynamic, fatigue and damage tolerance analysis very good knowledge in structural mechanics as well as in simulation methods for thermomechanical analyses is an advantage;
Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of German or French is an advantage.
