Job Description: Ecobase is Europe’s largest forest carbon project developer. Our goal is to serve as a trusted carbon partner to landowners in Europe, to advance forestry practices that offer ecological, economic and social benefits to the landowners and the planet. We work with over 150 landowners across 22 countries in Europe to accelerate afforestation and restoration activities, as well as enhance carbon sequestration in existing forests. Our ultimate mission is to serve as a catalyst for positive environmental change! ,Our team is looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Forest Engineer to manage the implementation of forestry carbon projects in Hungary. The role will involve business development and evaluation of the new project potential to identify new partners and new carbon projects suitable for Hungarian forests.Responsibilities:
- Ecobase’s Hungary coverage forestry expert
- Develop and execute strategies to identify and acquire new landowners to join our carbon projects
- Provide support and consulting to landowners when analyzing the suitability of forest carbon project activities
- Manage and nurture relationships with landowners who join our carbon projects, ensuring their success and satisfaction with our product and services
- Gather and analyze feedback from landowners to enhance our product offering
- Work closely with our technical and product teams to prioritize and implement customer feedback
- Ensure customer success by understanding client needs, time addressing concerns and providing solutions

- 5 + years experience as a trained forester
- Experience in forest management plans and forest inventory design
- Experience with tree growth models and allometric equations
- Contact network among foresters and landowners in Hungary
- Experience in client-facing roles working with large forest owners
- Excellent customer relationship skills
- Self-motivated player who can thrive in a start-up environment and contribute to company growth
- Academic background in forestry a plus
- Experience in the deployment of enterprise software applications within the forestry sector a plus
- Experience working in carbon markets is a plus
