  • As Human Factors Engineer, you work on the implementation of human factors/ usability engineering in projects and ensure compliance with the given regulations (US and EU) for medical devices and combination products.
  • As subject matter expert and project lead you work in close collaboration with external HFE consultants and service providers.
  • Utilizing your experience, you plan and perform Human Factors Engineering (HFE) with a focus on design validation.
  • You support the continuous improvement process of the BI quality system for combination products, especially related usability and design validation.
  • Moreover, you facilitate a sound exchange with the device design and development team, in particular with risk management, design engineering, medical and marketing.
  • With your knowledge of HFE, you lead employees in the field of design validation activities and support the combination product projects in compiling submission relevant documentation.
  • Science or engineering degree (Masters) with multiple years of experience in the medical device or pharma industry, preferably in HFE, risk management or a quality environment position for (injectable) drug delivery systems
  • Sound hands-on expertise in the application of relevant standards and regulations for HFE (e.g. IEC 62366, ISO 14971)
  • In-depth experience of design history, usability and technical files as well as other relevant regulatory submission documentation
  • Experience in project management with a track record of successfully managed projects
  • Practical know-how to create usability engineering plans and reports for submission and internal documentation
  • Experience in the data management and traceability of study results beneficial
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and German
