For our central Data & Analytics Team at our location in Hamburg HafenCity we are looking for a

Your purpose: 

We are looking for a motivated Working Student (m/f/d) in the field of Data & Analytics to join our Business Analytics team, dedicated to developing data solutions for one of Mabanaft’s business units in the Azure Cloud ecosystem and Power BI. This working student position is designed for individuals who are passionate about data analytics, eager to learn, and want to gain hands-on experience in developing data solutions from understanding the input data to creating end-user reports and dashboards.

Your tasks: 

• Report development: Understand stakeholder’s requirements and create and maintain Power BI reports for data visualisation

• Data Engineering Support: Under the guidance of a senior data engineer, help process and analyse data within Azure Databricks using PySpark and SQL in Jupyter Notebooks 

• Workflows: Learn how to and create LogicApp workflows to ingest data from email, csv and Excel sources  

• Documentation: Document requirements, data processes and data solutions, to ensure clarity and accessibility for team members and stakeholders. 

• Data Quality Assurance: Help us monitor and ensure the data quality of delivered data products  

• Learn and Grow: Continually learn and adapt to new technologies and tools  

Your skills: 

• You are an enrolled student (m/f/d), living in or near Hamburg with preferably a bachelor’s degree in business informatics, computer science, mathematics, or a related field 

• First experience with data visualisation tools, such as Power BI is appreciated

• Introductory programming skills in Python, SQL, or Scala 

• Basic understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, data quality management is a plus (and skills you can learn in our Team)

• Fluent in English and at least B2 in German combined with a strong curiosity and service orientation
