Job Description
As a Junior Software Engineer within our Product Foundation Tribe, you’ll embark on a transformative journey in a role that offers immense learning opportunities. This position is ideal for recent graduates or final-year students in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields, who are ready to apply their academic knowledge to real-world challenges. At Scalable Capital, you will contribute to foundational product components, such as user authentication, client onboarding journey, and internal backoffice platforms.

- Engage in the development of scalable and high-performance software, using languages like Typescript, Python or Kotlin.
- Collaborate to backend and frontend features, as well as internal tooling, libraries and frameworks.
- Contribute to a secure, compliant, and efficient foundation for our products.
- Participate in our cloud-native, DevOps-enabled infrastructure, with exposure to AWS services.
- Be a part of a culture that emphasizes diversity, lifelong learning, and collaboration.
- Work on projects that directly impact customers and learn to make data-driven decisions.
Qualifications
- Recent graduate or in the final year of a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Bootcamp graduates with strong project portfolios are also encouraged to apply.
- Foundational knowledge of backend development and object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience with JavaScript, Kotlin, Python, or similar languages, through university projects, internships, or personal projects.
- Demonstrable involvement in software projects, open-source contributions, or tech innovations is a plus.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and methodologies in software development.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive team dynamic.
- Understanding of or willingness to learn about quality practices in software development, such as Test-Driven Development and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an enthusiasm for process optimization.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with team members.
- A mindset geared toward lifelong learning, diversity, and collaboration.

The minimum salary under the collective agreement is based on the framework collective agreement for employees in information and consulting. Depending on your training, qualifications and professional experience, there is a willingness to overpay.
